Nothing is Forever entrenches sculpture as an essential practice as it highlights how sculpture drove new ways of thinking about art in Singapore, and the lasting impacts it has made on our artistic landscape.

Meet Jimmy Ong, the artist who did just that. Working together with seamstresses from Yogyakarta, he pieced together sculptures meant to reflect the nation’s lesser known colonial history, in particular Raffles’ time spent in Java.
